This is a Test...

Yahoo!! I can post pictures again! We had a soccer game today. Last week Lydia scored all of the goals in her 3 person group. She was under the weather today with a cold, and so did not score. She instead walked around with her hands on her hips and huffed and puffed because the other team kept scoring. Of course, after she put on her soccer costume and I gave her snacks at intermission, I told her to have a good second act. I really did, and then hoped none of the other parents heard me, but I did yell it out to her as she ran on the field. The games are funny and Ryan suits up for them, too. He has to watch in his shin guards and cleats. At least I can keep him off the field now. Tony and Marguerite got him a little chair to sit in, and that really helped today.

I might also mention that her team name is the "Princess Pirates" which is quite intimidating. They were playing the "Teal Dolphins"...not blue or green, but Teal.

Linda and I worked on recovering the dining room chairs. I was just the muscle, Linda the brains. Good thing she didn't need much muscle. We are almost done and they look nice. No picture, because I thought I still couldn't post them. Picture later!

Ryan has not had an accident at school since the very first day. Things are going well, except the teacher doesn't like his Crocs. She thinks he fall a lot in them. Little does she know, he falls a lot in everything. I put different shoes on him to make her happy, but we only have two other pairs and the ones most like tennis shoes, he won't keep on. Finding EEE's is not easy.

Work is fine, but I have a lot to do. I am supposed to be doing school work for the class I am taking at this moment, and I have a beginning teacher program I have to do also. It is also a lot of work.

Ahhh! I can now procrastinate again by taking pictures and posting them on my blog. Life is good.

Well, Well, Well

Still no pictures. We are nothing without pictures!

Linda is helping us out so much here. We would be really struggling otherwise. She is taking Lydia to school in the mornings when I have early meetings, picking them up when we can't and basically giving Joel and I peace of mind. I'm only working part time and it feels crazy. Probably because I have to stay longer and do more because I am new and everything takes me twice as much time. I had my first IEP meeting today and EVERYONE had to attend because it was my first. For those of you that don't know special education, an IEP is an individualized education plan that every student in special ed. has, and it is created yearly. At this meeting we had the student, parent, principal, speech therapist, general education teacher and a District Representative. A little unnerving, but it went well. I'm enjoying working with the students.

Now, I'm just going to post my blog about our first days of school without pictures and add them in when I can. You have to scroll down a post to read, if you like, because it posts on the day I wrote it (and then saved it hoping they would fix the picture thing).

Ryan did make it through the second day of preschool dry. Fingers are crossed for tomorrow. It has been a while since he has had an accident at home. The "poo poo" is another issue. He is holding it for every 3rd day and unfortunately tomorrow is day 3...at preschool. Not a good mix.

Beta Blogger

OK, I switched to this Beta Blogger and it is full of problems. If you are a Blogger here, DON'T SWITCH. I thought it would be new and improved. Silly me. Now, I can't post pictures again. It is an obvious problem with the Blogging Network, but they can't seem to fix it.

I want pictures with my posts. Hopefully, they will fix this so I can begin posting again.

First Days

We have had a lot of first days, here! Lydia started Kindergarten. She likes her class. Her days are from 8:05-1:45. This is a long day for a Kindergartner. She is getting used to going to bed earlier and getting up at 6:30, but she informed me that on Friday she went to the nurse to take a nap. Oh dear.

Ryan began preschool. He was so excited to go. He grabbed his Superman Lunch Box before he was dressed and didn't put it down until he got in the classroom. He even went potty with it. The big question was, would he make it through the day (7:30-1:00) without wetting his pants? Alas, no. I told them that he just needs to be taken to the potty occasionally, but they don't do that. They said they kept asking him if he had to go, and he just said no. So, during outdoor time, he had an accident. We will see how Thursday goes.

I began work, also. I am at an Elementary school as a resource specialist Monday-Friday 8-12. I've had a headache everyday after work. I have a lot to do and learn. Hopefully, it will get easier. Luckily, my sister Linda was visiting with my Mom when I got the job. She has stayed on to help with Ryan potty training and to help with childcare until we can set up something permanent. Thank goodness! She also does dishes, laundry and listens to my troubles. She has been a lifesaver.

Lydia is playing soccer, also. Lots of fun, and she scored a goal during the first game! Here she is with a good friend.

A New Network

Have you heard about the new MyNetworkTV? They are launching with 2 telenovela style soap operas. It began Tuesday, with Desire and Fashion House. The Soaps are filmed here in San Diego. Joel is on Desire Friday as an arresting police officer and throughout the show as the hands/piano player for a character who is supposed to play the piano, but the actor does not. So, when you see the hands and hear the music, it is Joel. A big episode for the piano is Monday.

They are bringing in some interesting people for these shows such as Bo Derek, Morgan Fairchild, and Tippi Hedren. You can check it all out at www.mynetworktv.com
